Wangaruro Mbira is an experienced banker with 22 years of banking and financial services experience. He has worked for Rafiki MFB, Chase Bank, African Banking Corporation, Equity Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Safaricom Limited and Coca-cola in various capacities. He is a seasoned professional in business development, risk management, and compliance. He holds an MBA from Strathmore Business School, a global module of Pan African EMBA from IESE Business School Barcelona (2010), Entrepreneurial Certification dubbed Stanford Seed (2019) by Stanford GSB and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (First Class Honors) from Egerton University. He is also a CISA and CPA.
Sheikh Ali Sunkar is an accomplished academic leader with 20+ years of experience in higher education and Islamic scholarship. He currently serves as the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the Islamic University of Kenya. He has previously held senior academic and administrative roles, contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance, and student engagement. He is a board member of the University Management Board and a founding member of the ODeL Board, championing digital learning. Sheikh Sunkar has led several institutional collaborations, including an MoU with UIN Jakarta, and is widely respected for his integration of faith-based principles with modern academic leadership.
David holds an MBA in Finance and Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology, A BSc in Finance from Kenya Methodist University, he also holds a Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance from College of Insurance, is a graduate of Strathmore University’s Senior Management Leadership Program (SMLP) and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
He has over 10 years banking experience and has held different capacities with Rafiki Microfinance Bank as the Head of Business Banking, previously worked for Equity Bank Limited in various managerial capacities with specialty in Operations, Credit Risk Analysis, Agency, Business Development and Finance management.
David serves on the board of Kagoto Polytechnic duly appointed by the County Executive Board of Nakuru as the Finance Director.
Sheikh Juma Mvudi is a certified Shariah advisor and seasoned Islamic finance consultant with over 15 years of experience in banking, credit analysis, and risk management. He is the Co‑Founder and Executive Director of Meethaq Solutions, where he leads advisory services in Islamic finance structuring and compliance for financial institutions, SMEs, and government-linked projects. He has previously held roles at Gulf African Bank and Diamond Trust Bank, offering leadership in Shariah-compliant product development and credit risk. Sheikh Mvudi is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and serves as a resource in the promotion of ethical and inclusive financial systems in East Africa.
